Who we are

App Test Bench ("we", "us") provides real-device app testing at apptestbench.com. For anything in this policy, contact [email protected].

What we collect

• Account data — your name, email address and a hashed password when you sign up.
• Session data — IP address and browser user-agent, stored with your login session for security.
• Waitlist emails — the address you give us when joining an Android or iOS waitlist.
• Submission data — the app name, package name/bundle ID, testing links and notes you submit, plus the testing evidence we generate (install/open timestamps and screenshots of your app running on our devices).
• Payment records — the amount, currency and order references for your purchases. Card details never reach us; payment is handled entirely by Stripe.
• Analytics — page views and button clicks via a self-hosted, cookie-less analytics instance (Umami) served from our own domain. No data is shared with advertising networks.

How we use it

To run the service you asked for: operating your account, running your tests, showing you progress, emailing you about your submissions or waitlist position, taking payment, and preventing abuse (hCaptcha protects our forms). Internal operational alerts (for example "a new customer signed up") are delivered to our own systems and include your email address so we can act on them. We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing you haven't asked for.

Who processes it for us

• Our database and hosting providers (account, submission and waitlist data).
• Stripe (payment processing — card details go directly to Stripe, never to us).
• Wasabi (object storage for device screenshots).
• Resend (transactional email, e.g. password resets).
• hCaptcha / Intuition Machines (bot protection on forms).

Cookies

One essential cookie: your login session. Our analytics are cookie-less. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Retention

Account and submission data are kept while your account exists. Testing evidence (screenshots, timestamps) is kept so you can rely on it as proof of your closed test. Waitlist emails are kept until we've launched and notified you, or until you ask to be removed. Delete your account or any waitlist entry any time by emailing us.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email [email protected] and we'll act within 30 days. If you're in the UK or EU, these rights are backed by UK GDPR / GDPR, and you can complain to your supervisory authority.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we'll note it here and, for significant changes, email account holders. See also our terms of service.
